Start by drilling a .5" hole in the back of the cigar box for the power cord to feed through
Feed the power cord through
Connect the power cord to the magnet base
Cut the top off of an old steel beer can using a standard kitchen can opener
By using a steel can, there is no need for glue since the magnet will hold tight, however if you choose to use an aluminum can (or any other material for the planter) glue will be required
The plant used in the photo is a succulent (which requires soil), however I highly recommend using air plants (tillandsia) since they are much lighter and require less water.
